HOW TO STOP BEING SHORT TEMPERED?

Have you ever yelled at someone all of a sudden for something trivial and regretted it a few minutes later? I guess most of us do this often. But the thing is, anger issues can have major consequences if left unresolved.

A short temper can have serious effects on yourself and the people around you as well. It is normal to become angry once in a while, but make sure that you don't hurt anybody or bring chaos to any of your relationships with others. Because your blood pressure rises when you become angry, it can have serious consequences for both your mental and physical health. To overcome this issue, you should be able to recognise the symptoms, which might be quite challenging because those angry episodes occur suddenly out of nowhere with little to no warning at all. Try to watch out for situations when you start yelling suddenly. If you try to hold back your anger, your energy might get drained out quickly even before you start to realise it. Whenever you feel like you are going to have an anger episode, close your eyes and start counting to ten by inhaling and exhaling slowly. You should practise mindfulness in order to overcome your short temper. Uncontrollable anger leads to the release of stress hormones in your body, and these hormones can cause serious and long-term health issues like insomnia, depression, anxiety, headaches, stomach problems, heart attacks, and sometimes stroke. A short temper can also be a sign of depression. Start working out and meditating, as it helps in increasing your self-control. Always think before you blurt out something in anger. Try to be as calm as possible at all times. Most importantly, try to forgive and forget everything at the moment, and don't hold grudges against anyone. Lighten up your mood from time to time by watching your favourite comic shows. You can always overcome anything if you have patience and a positive attitude.

The happiness and misery of men depend no less on temper than fortune.
